Don’t want to go out? Just send your Human Uber instead!

So.. AtĀ EmTech conference in Asia this week, Jun Rekimoto, a Japanese AR/VR researcher affiliated with Sony, showed off ChameleonMask. It’s a “Human Uber” software, in which someone straps a screen to their face and fills in for someone else.

Why it’s hot:

  • The future is finally here
  • How can the surrogates see? Do they need to poke eye holes out? Too many questions..
  • Apparently some people are ready to sign up as surrogates for new gigs
